YEAR 2 of Westbury Leigh Primary School kicked off their ‘Victorians and the Industrial Revolution’ topic with a Victorian Day on Friday 8th January.
Both the children and teachers came to school in full Victorian dress and spent the morning taking part in an ‘everyday Victorian school-day role play’. This opened the children’s eyes to how different and hard school could be in Victorian times.
Everyone then spent the afternoon looking at real Victorian artefacts and finding out more about this iconic era.
