SUAVE Wine Bar and Coffee House raised over £500 for Dorothy House at their Ladies’ Day last month.
Owner Shelley Sperring said, “Suave Ladies’ Day was a great success again with 40 ladies attending a day of fun. We served a buffet style lunch and afternoon tea which everyone enjoyed.
“There was a raffle and team games and fun betting throughout the afternoon. We have a different theme for the day each year and this year was a Homemade Hat theme. Yvonne Wharf won the competition for the best hat.
“Each year we raise money for a different charity and this year I decided that the money will be donated to Dorothy House. One of the staff’s dad sadly passed away from cancer recently and Dorothy House were so caring and a great support to her and her family.
“I didn’t tell her where the money was going, so when I announced it on the day, she broke down in tears. She was really grateful.
“We like to support local charities and recently sponsored Westbury Lions Donkey Derby.”
