THE recent antiques valuations day held at the Westbury Leigh Community Hall raised an impressive £429 for the hall.
The event saw three auctioneers from Dawsons Auctioneers – including BBC Antiques Roadshow expert Siobhan Tyrell – appraise items from local people to see what treasures they could uncover as well as hear some of the stories behind the items.
One of the event organisers said, “The valuation event saw people come to the hall from Westbury and surrounding villages and we raised a whopping £429 for the hall. Many thanks to the support shown from the local community and the very generous Dawsons Auctioneers, Nicky, Siobhan and Ed Langmead.
“They were very happy with the lovely people they met and said that they found really interesting items including valuable teddies, paintings, lamps, gnomes, watches and jewellery to name a few.”
