THERE is still time for local groups to apply for funding from Westbury Town Council under its grants scheme.
The council’s Grant Aid is available to voluntary groups and organisations within the town whose activities benefit the residents of Westbury.
Beneficiaries of the scheme last year included Group Five, a charity that collects unwanted furniture from the general public, refurbishes it as necessary and then passes it on free to families who are unable to purchase their own furniture.
Westbury Art Craft and Natter Group, who help people who have been at home for any length of time for whatever reason to get back into mainstream activity, were also given a grant last year.
To apply for financial assistance from the council for your group, club, or project, applications must be submitted to the offices at the Laverton by Friday 30th June.
Application forms and copies of the Grant Aid policy can be downloaded from www.http://westburytowncouncil.gov.uk/council-information/grant-aid/ or by emailing grants@westburytowncouncil.gov.uk. You can also pick up a form from the Laverton on Bratton Road. For more information contact the town council on 01373 822232.
The Grant Aid evening will be held later this year on Wednesday 11th October.
