LOCAL residents and groups are encouraged to make use of Bratton Church Institute Hall to aid its road to recovery following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
Caretaker and booking clerk, Joan Martin, says, “Our beautiful Edwardian hall is in the centre of the village and needs to be used and appreciated.
“The hall and spacious garden has so much to offer – as we welcome back our regular users we very much hope to encourage new users to our facilities.
“A party, a special occasion, a wedding reception, a christening or whatever – and in particular with the onset of summer, we believe we provide a variety of opportunities for all age groups.”
Regular groups using the hall include ballet, Brownies, the silver band, an art group. Rainbows, the W.I., toddlers club, Royal British Legion, and a choir. Church activities are held there, along with history associated events.
Joan says, “That sounds a lot but we need to fill up lots of slots to keep this splendid building for future generations.”
