BRATTON Silver Band recently finished in fifth position in the West of England Area Championships held in Torquay over the weekend of 9th to 10th March.
“The band was delighted to gain a very creditable fifth place out of the 18 brass bands competing in their section at the championships,” said a spokesperson for the band. “The Bratton Community Brass Bands also hosted a workshop event for five brass bands at Wiltshire Music Centre in preparation for the championships. Band members also enjoyed a rehearsal with the composer of their set competition test piece, Christopher Bond.”
