A BRATTON woman joined local members of the Royal British Legion at a dedication service for Wiltshire’s new standard.
Tracey Butt has been the standard bearer for Bratton’s branch of the legion for two years.
Tracey said, “The standard was ably replaced thanks to the Royal British Legion’s fundraising. It had become worn after many years, and the new one was dedicated at an official ceremony.
“I became standard bearer for Bratton just over two years ago, but remembrance has always been in my blood – I was a bearer in the Brownies and used to help my grandfather arrange poppies.
“I was pleased to be a part of the dedication service, and am pleased to be able to give a little something to all those who have made sacrifices for our country, and those who continue to do so today.”
