STAFF and volunteers of Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s charity shop in Westbury are preparing to mark the 20th anniversary of the shop – and the whole community is invited to help celebrate.
On Saturday 17th March from 10am to 2pm, the charity shop on Maristow Street will host a party with cakes and a raffle. Wilber, the charity’s paramedic bear mascot, will also be making an appearance.
The shop was founded by local woman, Dot Whitehead, in 1998 and she ran it for 14 years until she died in December 2012 at the age of 81.
Dot’s granddaughter, Carrie Aldous, took over as the manager in May 2013 and runs it with her team of dedicated volunteers.
