HOLY Trinity Church in Dilton Marsh is holding their ‘meet the village’ coffee morning and table top sale on Saturday 1st June from 10am-12noon, as well as a village day on Saturday 8th June, and the annual ‘Pimm’s and hymns’ evening service on Sunday 9th June.
You are invited to come and join the village for a cup of tea and a chat, to re-stock your Fairtrade larders and pick yourself up bargains from local sellers during their monthly table top sale on Saturday 1st June.
Table hire donation fees will raise money for the church’s chosen charities which are, this month, Warminster and District Foodbank and Traidcraft Exchange.
The church say, “For the next four months there will be a table entitled ‘Harvest of Talents’.
“Holy Trinity PCC have challenged the congregation to take a £5 note from church coffers and to go and use their talents to make it grow.
“All proceeds will be brought back to the Harvest service, on the 29th September!
“This initiative was launched on 12th May, during the 10am service, following the reading of the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25 v14-30) and an excellent sermon given by the team rector, Reverend Caroline Husband.
“The Harvest of Talents stall will a buying opportunity of the makes, bakes and other wares or services or events offered by the congregation.”

Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh are also holding a village day extravaganza on Saturday 8th June from 11am-4pm featuring a mass of stalls, bouncy castle, raffle and, new for this year, entertainers!
They say, “Thanks go to AWL School of Dancing from Westbury, appearing at 11.30 am, Infinity Dance appearing at 12.30 and Dilton Players appearing at 2.30pm. The Harvest of Talents stall will make an appearance also.”
To close the weekend, the annual ‘Pimm’s and hymns’ service will be held at 6pm on Sunday 9th June in the church.
They say, “As the Pimm’s is served throughout the service, the singing improves as the service progresses! Non-alcoholic options available.”
Inside the church will be the annual flower festival on both days.
