WESTBURY Town Council’s town clerk, Deborah Urch, and assistant town clerk, Amanda McCann, have both successfully completed the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).
Deborah said, “This is a very exciting time for all of us here at the town council and for the Westbury community, as it is the first time the town council has had qualified staff.
“This means the council has met the conditions of eligibility as defined in the Localism Act 2011 and SI 965 The Parish Councils (General Power of Competence) Order 2012.
“We started the CiLCA course less than 12 months ago, and we have worked very hard to complete the qualification in record time, studying much of the course in our own time. The town council has been very supportive and encouraging of our efforts.”
