The Westbury Group Practice has announced it will be a Covid-19 vaccination site this weekend (Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th December) for selected over 80’s.
The group, which comprises White Horse Health Centre and Bratton Surgery, said it received “very little notice” it would be a “Wave 2” vaccination site so had to plan and work very swiftly to be able to hold the clinic.
In a statement which was shared to social media by Westbury Town Council, amongst others, the group said, “Please be aware that numerous staff have been deployed from usual duties to plan for our upcoming Covid-19 vaccination program for patients aged over 80.
“We received very little notice that we would be a “Wave 2” vaccination site and have had to plan and work very swiftly be be able to hold the clinic. There will be less availability of staff across all departments including reception in the next few days to try and deal with this very important service.
“This part of the Covid-19 vaccination program will be run over this weekend 19th – 20th December and is limited to vulnerable patients in the over 80 age bracket. If you fall into this category, please do not call the surgery, we are making our way through our list of eligible patients.
“We appreciate your understanding and patience in this regard.”
