THREE new counsellors have been welcomed onto the team at the local community support centre, Crosspoint, following an increased demand for their services.
Crosspoint’s chairman recently revealed that the centre’s services have seen a 50% surge in demand following the rising cost-of-living and to deal with this increase, the counselling team has three new additions.
Chairman Kevin Fairman said, “We are delighted to welcome Debs, Miriam and Tabitha to the counselling team at Crosspoint. With demand for the excellent counselling service continuing to rise to support people in the local community, these three new counsellors join our existing team of six.”
Kevin says that the increased capacity of the counselling team will enable more people to receive counselling in the Westbury area, and will also mean that people can be seen for counselling sooner than is currently the case.
Kevin added, “If you would like to register for Crosspoint free-to-use counselling service, then please go to the Counselling page of our website, hit the orange button in the bottom left corner and complete the counselling request form.
“We would like to thank our funders of this service which has enabled to add the new counsellors: Westbury Area Network and The National Lottery.”
Crosspoint provides a range of services including carrying out checks to see if people are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to; providing information requested by government agencies and following up with any claims/mandatory reconsiderations; offering guidance on the formal options available to people in financial debt; and they offer support with CV writing, housing association and/or landlord correspondence and scanning/photocopying formal documents.
Crosspoint can be found in the Westbury Market Place. For more information, visit www.crosspoint-westbury.co.uk
