CROSSPOINT, the local community support centre, offers an affordable counselling service, based on people’s ability to pay.
The team of counsellors at Crosspoint provide a confidential service and are there to listen to your concerns and problems in a safe, supportive way and to help you find your own way to personal well-being.
Your identity will not be disclosed to anyone, other than your counsellor and an administrator.
Chair of Crosspoint, Kevin Fairman, said, “With the addition of the three new counsellors to our growing team, we are now better positioned to respond to demand for the service in the local community with reduced waiting times before people can be seen by a counsellor.”
If you would like to register for the service, then either: (i) go to the counselling page of Crosspoint’s website and complete the ‘Counselling Request Form’ (orange button in bottom left of screen) or ii) send an email to info@crosspoint-westbury.co.uk, or iii) stop by Crosspoint on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon or Friday and Saturday morning.
Could you help Crosspoint?
Kevin added, “Due to the importance of avoiding lone working, we always welcome new people who can help cover reception whilst a counsellor is seeing a client. If you could spare an hour or two per week so that our counsellors can continue to do their excellent work, then please contact Crosspoint on the above email address. Your help is very much appreciated.”
Crosspoint also provides a range of services including carrying out checks to see if people are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to; providing information requested by government agencies and following up with any claims/mandatory reconsiderations; offering guidance on the formal options available to people in financial debt; and they offer support with CV writing, housing association and/or landlord correspondence and scanning/photocopying formal documents.
