IT has been a year since Westbury Hospital closed its doors for the last time, but there is still no news on the site’s future.
The hospital has been closed, with security measures in place on the site, ever since the last services moved out in October last year.
Services had been reduced over the years, with the last services being moved to the White Horse Health Centre.
The local clinical commissioning group has confirmed the site is ‘surplus to requirements.’ With the abolition of Primary Care Trusts in April, the hospital’s future is now in the hands of NHS Property Services Ltd. It is understood that any marketing of the site will be in accordance with current NHS guidance and policy.
