ANIMALS big and small will be at Dilton Marsh Carnival in June with this year’s theme being ‘Down on the Farm’.
The carnival will take place on Saturday 28th June from 11.30am until 3.30pm on Dilton Marsh playing field.
Magic Moments Animal Parties will bring animals of all sizes to admire. There will also be entertainment, refreshments (including a beer tent), games and stalls – something to suit everyone – plus a special grand draw.
Judging of the Carnival Royal Family will take place on Saturday 14th June – Village Day – at Dilton Marsh Primary School, starting at 11.00am. Application forms will be available soon from the school, Crowning Glory and the Village Store. The competition is open to children and young people that live in the village or attend Dilton Marsh School.
Chair of the Dilton Marsh Carnival committee, Kathy Hutt said, “We usually have a couple of hundred people turn out on the field and we aim to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with plenty for the children to do. Thank you to all that supported the Big Breakfasts this year. They were very successful events, raising funds towards the costs of carnival day. There’s a lot to organise for the carnival and we would appreciate support on the day.”
