There was good attendance at the Annual Meeting of Dilton Marsh WI on 14th February.
Hilary Fairfield reports, “Members heard a summary of the year’s activities from the outgoing President, Alison Irving, followed by reports from the secretary and treasurer. Thanks were extended to Alison who has now completed the full term allowed as President. Members were then given the opportunity to vote for the officers for the forthcoming year, and Beth Carrick was elected as the President, Sara Honor as treasurer and Alison Irving as secretary.
“Eunice Stride was presented with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her recent 90th birthday. A bursary of £150 was awarded to assist a member towards the costs of a residential course of her choosing.
“As usual, the meeting provided an opportunity for the members to spend some social time together and look forward to the programme for year ahead. Planned topics for the 2019 meetings include British bats, the history of Longleat and a craft workshop.
“We would be delighted to welcome new members or guests to our meetings, which are held on the second Thursday of every month in the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. Come and join us!”
