THIS weekend All Instruments will be holding their big April open day, in association with their teaching programme TMW Music School.
The open day will run from 8.30am to 6pm on Saturday 25th April. There will be store discounts, live music, and information on offer about local music tuition and services.
Organiser Jessica Dayman-Johns said, “Everyone will get the opportunity to experience music and grab themselves a bargain!
“We will have at least 20% off thousands of items in store, as well as big package deal discounts for electric guitars, ukuleles, bass guitars, and more. We will also be offering free taster music lessons so that everyone can have the chance to experience music!
“There will even be musicians performing throughout the day to keep everybody entertained. We are a school of 16 teachers of all instruments and are always looking for new ways to expand music into the community.”
All Instruments is a family-run music store at Madbrook Farm on Warminster Road.
Following the recent announcement of cuts to education programme Wiltshire Music Service, the TMW team are keen to promote their own tuition services, which are already used by a number of schools in the area.
Jessica said, “I can reassure you that TMW will not be letting music fizzle out in any manner across Wiltshire. We currently teach 350 pupils and already provide a full music service to several schools across Wiltshire including in Westbury, Warminster, Trowbridge, Devizes, and Melksham.
“Our ethos is to offer quality teaching at an affordable price to all – we want music to be accessible to everyone and already provide discounted rental schemes for schools and offer free instruments during tuition.
“Music is very important and is something we believe very strongly should be in every school. Not only is it a great way to learn new skills and make new friends, but several studies have proven that it has a very positive effect on maths and English learning. Being able to play an instrument, sing, or write music has so many benefits and should be available to every child, and this is something we are striving to offer within our community.”
