EIGHT colleagues from Morrisons in Westbury recently took part in a doughnut eating competition to raise money for Sue Ryder.
Lisa Litterick, community champion at Morrisons said, “In just 40 minutes, the two teams of four ate their way through a total of 100 doughnuts for the entertainment of our customers. The staff were seen, ripping, squashing and even dipping doughnuts in water to get them down quicker! During our fundraising in September we raised a scrumptious £103.39, bringing our total raised for Sue Ryder this year to £2,055.58.
“We owe massive thanks to our generous customers that always support the staff with charity events.
“Keep an eye out for lots more exciting events in the coming months, including fun at Halloween and our Christmas Market to name a few!”
