A delightful evening of open-air theatre awaits in the gardens of the historic Elizabethan Manor Farm in the village of Corsley.
ILLYRIA will be performing Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan on Saturday 2nd August at 7.30pm.
The organisers said, “Pre-book a pre-performance sit down supper served by serfs and wenches with your hosts in full and colourful costume. Musical entertainment whilst you feast, members of Calico Jack will bring their sea shanty tunes to acapella singing and an instrumental piratesque twang, with a squawk or two to shiver yer’ timbers! Get your children to enter the Best Dressed Pirate competition!
“All this will set the scene for this year’s event to take you ‘overboard’ for a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘Pirates of Penzance’ performed by award winning professional open-air touring theatre company Illyria. The show is packed with comic hilarity, charm, song, tears and laughter.
“Set amongst beautiful countryside, with outlying meadows and ancient copses, against the backdrop of the stunning Elizabethan Manor house, the evening is one for all the family to enjoy and go home heartily fed and with beaming smiles to remember.”
