Providence Baptist Church is holding a series of monthly meetings at Fairfield Opportunity Farm Cafe, exploring how the Christian faith relates to everyday life. The next one will take place on Tuesday 24th May, 7.30-8.30pm.
“Christians have a story to tell of how knowing Jesus has changed their lives,” explained Guy Davies from the Providence Baptist Church. “Believers aren’t like peas in a pod. We come from diverse backgrounds, with different levels of education, have pursued varied career paths and so on. But we have one thing in common. Encountering Jesus changed our lives. Yes, he can be encountered today because he is the living Lord who was raised from the dead.
“Believing in Jesus doesn’t make life a bed of roses. Christians, like everyone else, face difficulties and trials in life. But we can face them knowing that Jesus is with us every step of the way and he will never let us down.
“At this month’s Everyday Faith meeting we’ll be giving ordinary people an opportunity to tell their stories of how the extraordinary Jesus has made a difference in their everyday lives.
“If you are interested in discovering more about the Christian faith, do think about coming along. Hot drinks provided. All welcome!”
