CROQUET season starts at Leighton Sports Centre this month with the next session on Tuesday 11th June from 2.30pm-4.30pm.
Every Tuesday, all are welcome to try their hand at croquet, a sport that features six hoops, four balls, two mallets and a patch of grass.
Organiser Menna Miles says, “It sounds easy enough but croquet is a game of skill and strategy, angles, tactics and guile. It is a bit like snooker on grass. Will your balls get through the hoops and peg out before your opponent’s?
“Croquet offers sport, friendships, fun and competition.”
