A spokesperson from the Westbury Fire Station said, “We have attended many incidents throughout the years, so we’ve chosen the Fire Fighters Charity as our charity of choice. The charity helps fire fighters who have retired through injury, as well as families of deceased firefighters both killed or injured on the frontline. The Fire Fighters Charity doesn’t stop there; it does amazing things for service personnel and their families throughout the country.
“We are all hopefully doing our own training programmes, but our job keeps us fit and we do have a gym at the station.”
Taking part is watch manager Peter Eastland, crew manager Oliver Rush, crew manager Nathan Collins, as well as firefighters Justin Barrett, Chris Charlton and his wife Mel, Loren Thanejah, Alistair Young, Ross Frampton and his daughter Poppy and ex firefighters Terry Noble and Daisy McFerrin.
