The Open Westbury Food Project is holding a food drive this Sunday, October 18th, in order to stock its shelves ready for the winter.
The food project provides free food provisions for residents across the town that need it. Much of the food provided is surplus produce provided by the supermarkets of the town, ensuring Westbury has a sustainable food model that saves massively on waste.
However, the pandemic has pushed the need for food boxes to an all-time high, so extra cans and things like rice, pasta and sauces are needed for the winter months.
If you have any spare cans or non-perishable food then please bring it on down between 11am and 1pm on the day.
Organisers say, “Kindly housed by Crosspoint in the market square, the Open Westbury Food Project is a Westbury Town Council initiative run by a team of incredible volunteers.”
