WORK to transform Becks Mill play area in Leigh Park will soon begin.
Play trains, roundabouts, trampoline and even a ticket office and waiting room are on the way for a newly-refurbished play area at Becks Mill.
The town council came up with the design and theme of ‘Becks Mill Train Station’ after asking for ideas and comments on what children would like via social media, newspapers and their website.
Installation is expected to take two weeks, starting Monday 25th September and the results are set to be unveiled on Monday 9th October.
The new play area has cost £28,000. The funds have come from Section 106 money obtained from local housing developments.
The town council is taking over responsibility from Wiltshire Council for the Becks Mill play area, along with nine other play areas.
