The Horse and Groom on Alfred Street has been recognised by the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) and has been included in this year’s Good Beer Guide.
Out of 50,000 pubs that were inspected across Britain, the Horse & Groom was one of just 4,500 of the finest outlets chosen for inclusion in the Guide and what’s more, it’s the only pub in Westbury and surrounding areas.
Landlord Bob Musker said, “We were both surprised and delighted to be included in this year’s Good Beer Guide; it is a real feather in our cap and reflects the very hard work put in by the whole team here over the past three and a half years, since re-opening the pub.
“It couldn’t come at a better time as we are about to host Westbury’s first Oktoberfest on 22nd October which will feature nine real ales as well as three genuine German Oktoberfest beers.”
