A DECISION on a planning application for up to 220 houses off The Mead is still awaited.
The outline application for the site, which borders the A350 and the railway line, was submitted to Wiltshire Council in September 2013.
The developers, Gloucester Land Company Ltd, propose that 35% of homes would be affordable, and there would be a range of house sizes (including two, three, four and five bedroom houses).
Traffic congestion along The Mead has been one of the big concerns raised by residents.
The site is also outside the town policy limits – limits which suggest boundaries for development in the town.
The deadline for comments has passed. However, if the outline application is approved, the developers must then submit a detailed application with further details.
