The Westbury Chamber of Commerce Trade and Industry is planning to hold a combined job and business fair later in the year.
The date and venue have yet to be fixed, however, the chamber is looking for a number of people who are prepared to meet to form a small project team comprising of approximately five people.
David Jenkins, Westbury Chamber of Commerce president, said, “The plan we have is to set up a project working team. There’s quite a lot of work involved so we want to bring a team together, figure out the way forward to put it together and move forward from there.”
The chamber believes that despite the state of the economy, now is the time to look to the future and to try and help people find employment. It hopes the combination of a job fair mixed with a business fair may be one positive step forward.
If anyone is interested in joining the project team please contact David Jenkins c/o Kate Preece, Westbury Chamber of Commerce, 52 Castle Street, Trowbridge, BA13 8AU, call 01225 355553 or email kate@wessexchambers.org.uk
