A young mother from Westbury has expressed her devastation as she fears that a body, which was found last Wednesday, may be her missing partner.
Zowie Tobin, 23, was last seen on Saturday 8th August when he left his house in Lilac Grove after saying he intended to commit suicide.
A body was found by police at Penleigh Lake, near Dilton Marsh on the evening of Wednesday 12th August. An official identification had not been completed as the White Horse News went to press.
Zowie’s partner of three years, Samantha Cowdry, 23, said she was convinced it was the body of Zowie, who was a keen fisherman.
Samantha said that Zowie had been prescribed diazepam the day before his disappearance and believed that this may have contributed to his troubled state of mind.
Samantha praised his commitment to their family. She said that Zowie was a “devoted father” to their 9 month old daughter and a 3 year-old boy who was in his care.
