WILTSHIRE Council is proposing to lower the speed limit on sections of the B3098 between Westbury and Erlestoke.
Sections between the 30mph limits in villages are currently 60mph, but proposals would take the limit down to 50mph. The 30mph limit through villages would remain unchanged.
Wiltshire Council say, “We are proposing to lower the speed limit on sections of the B3098 from 60mph to 50mph following a review of speed limits on A and B roads in Wiltshire.
“This change will be advertised early next year, and we would encourage people to have their say.
“The Department of Transport-led review means speed limits across the country will be consistent, based on the layout and accident history of the road.”
More about the speed limit review can be found on the Wiltshire Council website.
