PUPILS at Westbury Junior School performed their nativity plays last month and held a Christmas Carol Concert at All Saints Church.
Assistant headteacher Victoria Withers said, “Years three, four and five all performed a full nativity play this year. Year 3 performed a play called ‘Prickly Hay’ based on a stable boy who makes the manger comfortable, Year 4 performed ‘Tinsel and Tea Towels’, about a school putting on a nativity with school inspectors arriving, and Year 5 performed ‘A Magical Christmas Jigsaw’ about a jigsaw that comes to life and tells of the birth of Jesus.
“Also before Christmas, six Year 6 pupils took part in the Westbury Christmas Light Switch-on by helping to hand out sweets dressed as Father Christmas’ elves.”
