AN hilarious, high-energy production by The Late Bloomers, which may take a slightly irreverent view of many things Scottish – called “Scotland”will be part of the festival.
Chair of Westbury Festival, Ian Cunningham said, “As an ‘international troupe consisting of an Englishman, Swede and Australian, we were not surprised hear that they took their show to the Adelaide (Australia) Fringe winning an award for the best comedy and that they had also appeared at the Paris and Prague Fringes where they were also award winners.
“What did surprise us, and, frankly, worried us as we had already booked them, is that they then decided to take the show to Edinburgh Fringe last month which, given the subject matter, seemed rather foolhardy. We are glad to report that despite 24 shows (!) the boys made it out alive and will be in Westbury on Friday 28th September at the Laverton 7.30pm. Tickets £10 from our box office at EJ Crafts Maristow Street, or via www.westbury festival.org. uk or by phone (£1.50 postage) on 03336 664466.
There will be a bar and there will be whisky should you wish to join in.
