STAFF at BebeTots nursery and pre-school are appealing for information following lead piping being stolen from their roof.
They say that the perpetrator was wearing light-coloured hoodie and trousers, and they were caught on CCTV. If you saw or heard anything suspicious in that area at roughly 11.45pm on Thursday 23rd February please get in contact with the police
A BebeTots spokesperson said, “Our nursery has been a victim of crime as someone has taken it upon themselves to steal the lead piping from our roof. The really frustrating part is that after wear and tear and water damage in the offices, we’ve only recently managed to save up to fix the water leaks we’ve been experiencing.
“It really saddens me that people feel the need to steel from others, I don’t care about the lead, it’s purely the damage that has been caused and the fact that once again, our roof will be leaking. We are a family run business who are trying to provide a service to other parents and create a great environment for children and are heartbroken and so disappointed with what has happened.
“There are so many jobs being advertised everywhere in many sectors, if people are financially struggling, crime is not the way forward. If anyone is wanting to give donations, they would be greatly received, but it is not something I had considered or expected at all.”
