A “SUPER lucky” 10-year-old chocolate labrador from Dilton Marsh, called Flake, has survived a 150 ft drop after falling off a cliff at Durdle Door in Dorset.
His owner, Kady Morgan, said she was going “out of her mind with worry” but following a quick trip to the vets, all that was needed was pain relief.
She said, “I was out walking with my other half and my three children at Durdle Door. Once I had realised he had fallen, I just sort of froze, I was going out of my mind with worry, and I told my partner to run down and go and see if he’s alright.
“There were a lot of people at the bottom and they were all brilliant with helping us with Flake. The people who were working there on the day gave him a lift back up the hill to the top, so we could take him to the vets.
“He is absolutely fine, he was obviously a bit sore but he didn’t have any broken bones or anything like that, he just had a bit of pain relief medicine. One week on and he’s back to his old self, enjoying his walks and enjoying being very, very spoilt by everyone.
“We’ve made a new rule – just simple ground walks from now on – no more cliff walks!”
