LOCAL holiday park, Brokerswood, based near Westbury, is set to receive a £1.2million investment this year from its owners.
The money will be used to build approximately 20 more lodges, additional camping pods, and a new sewage treatment plant.
To date, owners Haulfryn has spent £2million developing the site, building 12 twin lodges, four single lodges, 10 camping pods, plus associated facilities and infrastructure, such as roads and services.
The investment plan for Brokerswood is to be undertaken in a phased manner with another five years of developments. The total investment into Brokerswood is expected to reach £5million by the time of completion.
Brokerswood Holiday Park, which opened in 2018, is set in 80 acres of beautiful historic woodland and attracts visitors as it is close to Bath, Lacock, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Longleat. With its own lake and woodland walks the park boasts the ultimate countryside retreat, with accommodation available from two-bed pods to four-bed lodges.
Haulfryn, which has seven parks throughout the South West including Brokerswood, is in the midst of a multi-million investment programme across its portfolio.
Haulfryn is continuing to build on its successful model of active family holiday resorts, finding a niche for those who want to unwind in outstanding locations with the opportunity to take part in a range of family-friendly activities at the same time.
Haulfryn Group CEO Bobby McGhee said, “The UK has no shortage of outstanding scenery – from the north Wales coastline to the Wiltshire countryside and the beautiful landscapes of south Devon. We’re privileged to be able to create holiday resorts which allow people to experience these fantastic places all year round, with home-from-home luxury space and facilities for all the family to enjoy.
“As a company we have experienced significant growth in recent years as people look to purchase their own ‘piece of paradise’ – quality holiday accommodation to enjoy with the children and grandchildren. Our mission is to continue to ensure our parks deliver the very best experience for our buyers and holiday makers alike, so that they can concentrate on enjoying time with their friends and families.
“Going back 10 or 20 years, holiday parks around the UK tended to be outdated, with tired facilities and below par accommodation. Haulfryn as a company has addressed this by continually investing in our parks – from beauty spas to fitness centres, restaurants to tennis courts, we’re making sure that a staycation doesn’t compromise on quality.”
