A NEW ‘edible garden’ has sprung up in the flowerbed outside the Westbury Library courtesy of Westbury Town Council and Friends of Victoria Gardens.
The garden features plants such as echinacea, monarda, borago, parsley, lavender, sage, mint, oregano, thyme, gooseberry and blackcurrant that are free for the community to use and enjoy.
Westbury Town Council said, “Thank you to Jane Salisbury and Susie Atterbury for being part of a project that the town council would like to develop with the involvement of local organisations. We would also like to use the bed as an educational resource to learn about plants and how they benefit wildlife, health and wellbeing.”
