A SET of outdoor fitness equipment has been installed in Grassacres Park.
The equipment is suitable for those aged seven and over, and helps people increase their fitness while visiting the park.
Cllr Christine Mitchell, of the town council’s play areas working group said, “There are five pieces of equipment. It’s for ages seven years and upwards, and older people can also use it.
“We felt that the fitness part was a good idea, and we hope everyone gets enjoyment out of it.”
The new equipment was funded by Westbury Town Council and Westbury Area Board.
Councillors were disappointed to find that, only days after the equipment was installed, the accompanying sign was removed. Fortunately the sign was found abandoned nearby. The equipment itself is, as far as possible, designed to be vandalism proof.
