Local residents will now be able to access the services of two community health trainers at the White Horse Health Centre, commencing Tuesday 17th April.
Health trainer Chris Kay said, “We are delighted to be based at the health centre and look forward to getting to know patients and staff alike.
“These weekly sessions will enable us to be more accessible to the local community, in addition to the ongoing work we do in Westbury, and we are very grateful to the health centre for providing the space to do this.
“Health trainers are here for anyone over the age of 18 who would like to make healthy lifestyle changes, whether that’s improving your diet, achieving weight loss, increasing physical activity levels, stopping smoking or support around emotional wellbeing, we are here to encourage you in making small changes to reach your long-term goals. We offer six 1-hour sessions which are paced to suit the needs of the client.”
Initially appointments at the health centre will be available from 2-5pm every Tuesday afternoon and to book an appointment simply call the health centre on: 01373 828330 and speak to reception, patients can self-refer to this free service.
