- “Virtual bell-ringing” – a friend of mine who lives in Harrow is a keen bell-ringer and during the lockdown has been teaching new bell-ringers “the ropes” through virtual bell-ringing online! They have offered to ring virtually this Sunday morning before our service at 10.00 am. They will ring Call Changes (called up) and Plain Hunt (for those of you who understand these things!). Unfortunately, we won’t hear them ringing, but they are doing this for us. If any bell-ringers would like to join in, please get in touch with me in advance and I can give you the joining instructions on Zoom. (We look forward to the day when we can hear our own bells ringing for real!)
- Tuesday 16 June will be the last session of our discussion group Saying Yes to Life when we shall be thinking about Let the land produce living creatures and let us make humankind in our image. If anyone would like to join us, please email me directly and I’ll send you the joining instructions for Zoom. When we have finished the course, I’ll put on another Zoom social for the following week.
The Community of Hopeweavers
Dear Friends,
A few of us have been talking about making some time during this strange phenomena of the pandemic and rather than focusing on all that is strange would like to see the opportunities instead. An opportunity has arisen to join hopeweavers for a very special quiet day via zoom. Hopeweavers are a small dispersed community that encourage us to explore and experiment in the Presence of God and thus recover our more creative sides. There are a small number of places available for the 18th June, if you would like to join but all spaces are taken do let me know as it may be possible to have another date. You will need to supply your own crafting materials at this time -time to finish that project you started a while ago, perhaps?
Hopeweavers.co.uk weaving hope into every day
The Community of Hopeweavers aims to offer sanctuary space and resources for individuals and groups who seek silence and stillness as part of a Christian faith journey:
· to create places away from our everyday lives where we can be refreshed and experience peace and quiet;
· safe places where we can dream dreams and receive from God in stillness and calm;
· somewhere to share silence with others, to learn more about prayer and to make ourselves available to God, to listen;
· encouraging and valuing creativity as a way of responding to God;
· for Christians and people of all faiths or none, of all ages, in small groups, teams, as individuals, in family groups.

Dear Friends,
During the past 12 weeks or so, our emotions have been on a bit of a roller coaster ride with all the events and news that the pandemic has brought, alongside those we have also experienced personal losses and difficulties. Health and well-being is something that I feel very passionate about and would like to encourage you to explore this website http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/public-health-mental-health for information and support that may be helpful to you and to those whom you know. It has a range of information and advice that may be helpful. Please also remember that our clergy team are also here to support you and you (and your neighbours) are welcome to phone or email us at anytime. Please be assured that we are holding you all in our prayers as we gather each day via zoom. If you have particular prayer requests, we have two prayer teams who are ready and willing to pray for you and your situation -please email the clergy who will contact the prayer teams. Please be assured of confidentiality -no one will gossip about your situation or even ask you how you are (only those to whom you have shared the situation with).
