The next in an ongoing series of BA13+ Community Area Partnership public meetings will cover the issue of health and the non-emergency patient transport service.
The meeting will be held on Thursday 15th February at 6.45 pm for a 7.00pm start in The Laverton Institute, Bratton Road, Westbury, Wiltshire, BA13 3EN
“Each quarterly meeting, we analyse a theme from the Partnership’s community plan,” said Phil McMullen, BA13+ Partnership Administrator. “The theme for the next meeting is a combined Health and Transport theme, and will focus on the non-emergency patient transport service, which is provided for patients who have a non-emergency medical need and require help with transport to reach their hospital appointment.
“We are particularly fortunate in having secured guest speakers from the Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG). The CCG is responsible for planning, organising and buying health services for the 470,000 people in Wiltshire. They are clinically-led, which means they are made up of doctors, nurses and other health professionals who understand the needs of the Wiltshire community and the impact that local services have on patients’ health.
“Guest speakers will be: Sarah MacLennan, associate director, communications and engagement, Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Andy Jennings – commissioning lead (he manages the non-emergency patient transport contract on behalf of Wiltshire).”
