STAFF at Westbury Group Practice will be running the Bath Half Marathon this weekend to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice.
Eight members of staff will be taking part in the run this Sunday, 17th March. The running team is: managing partner Mark Dickson, healthcare assistant Aaron Goodenough, medical receptionist Angie Best, advanced nurse practitioner Catherine Cooper, GP and partner Dr Claire Balysz, practice nurse Lara Robson, GP and partner Dr Zak Mohiuddin, and clinical lead Rachel Walters.
“Together we’ll be running a total of 105 miles,” say the Westbury Group Practice running team. “Dorothy House provide an invaluable service to our patients and their loved ones from the moment their condition becomes life-limiting. They also provide bereavement counselling.
“The NHS is stretched to breaking point, and Dorothy House relies on donations to continue to provide the care that it does. Please help support us by donating to this charity which helps us to care for our patients in their last weeks of life.
“To support us you can use the sponsorship form at reception, donation box or on the JustGiving website page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising /clairebalysz.
“We also have a cake sale to raise money for this event in the foyer on Wednesday 13th March between 9.30am-1pm.”
