THE Westbury branch of the Royal British Legion has thanked the local community after nearly £7,500 was raised through the Poppy Appeal during November last year.
The Westbury Poppy Appeal organiser, Dave Calder, has praised local people for their generosity.
“I would like to thank the people of Westbury who have raised a very handsome total of £7,476.63 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal during November 2023,” he said. “This amount will help support military veterans and their families.
“A special mention is given to the volunteers who helped to raise this amount, by giving up their time to ass ist. I am very grateful for their efforts. Please contact me if you would like to volunteer for the next Poppy Appeal.”
