The TransWilts Community Rail Partnership is the community group that helps promote the newly improved Westbury to Swindon train service.
The group is delighted to announce that they’re running an excursion on which you’ll see Santa, be given a minced pie and drink, and – if you’re a child – a present too.
The trip runs on Sunday 14th December, leaves at 13:15 from Westbury station, and gets back at around 15:30. Tickets are on sale at the Westbury Visitor Centre during their normal hours at £9 per adults and £5 per child.
This trip is run in conjunction with the Melksham Railway Development Group, who have welcomed Santa every year for the past 15 years.
With the extra trains now running on the line (eight each way per day Monday to Saturday, slightly fewer on Sundays) and with an extra carriage on trains on 14th December (thanks to First Great Western) they are delighted to be able to arrange trips from Westbury and Trowbridge as well as Melksham this year.
Places will be limited – please book early. twcrp.info/santa – tel: 0845 459 0153.
