Westbury Golf Club seniors section has reported a busy time.
They say, “The Seniors have had two matches, the first was at Broome Manor where the course was in excellent condition and we had good company and a superb meal.
“The result was a win for the hosts by 3 and a half matches to 2 and a half. Our winning pairs were Dennis Kidd/Mike Frowde and Bob Rawlings/Mike Darwin. The second match was at Charminster where we suffered another defeat, this time by 5 matches to 1. Our winning pair was Rodney Poolman/George Henderson.
“The club house was won by Dave Gilbert with a nett 74 and Dave also won the Spring Shield. The May Medal was won by Pete Mould with a nett 70, a winning margin of 9 shots.
“The club is considering an open day in the near future and more details will be available shortly.”
