Westbury Shed and Frome Men’s Shed recently collaborated to recycle and reduce the impact on the environment by exchanging tools that are surplus to requirements.
In exchange for some stone mason’s tools and a small donation to the tea fund, Westbury Shed members were able to acquire a planer thicknesser for use at their Alfred Street workshop.
Frome Men’s Shed chairman, Patrick Abraham, explained that tools are always offered to other Sheds in the area or are sent to Third World countries where there is a great need for tools in local communities.
Chris Baker of Westbury Shed, was pleased to exchange the tools, commenting that this would enable members to be more creative when working on individual or community projects.
