STUDENTS at Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh now have a new outdoor learning centre, thanks to a grant from the local area board.
School spokesperson Helen Beer said, “Last summer Fairfield applied to the Westbury Area Board for support with creating an outdoor learning centre; a permanent camp with the necessary equipment to deliver outdoor learning to students and local young people with learning disabilities through holiday workshops and activities.
“Many thanks to the Westbury Area Board youth team for seeing the potential and to our outdoor learning tutor, Pete Spittles, and farm assistant, Martin Ashman, for their design and building skills.”
