Redwood Class (years 5 and 6) raised money for Cancer Research UK and the NSPCC by holding a Big Breakfast first thing in the morning on Thursday 5th February.
They also decided to make cards out of their artwork and artwork completed by Oak class (yrs 3 and 4). Their PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) project this term was to understand Profit and Loss so had to price up food, look for the best deals and take off any expenses after the money had been counted up.
Many of Redwood Class turned up as waiters and took orders for brioche, croissants and hot cross buns, whilst the adults sorted out teas and coffees. A frantic hour was had by all and a great atmosphere filled the hall.
The children had designed posters about the charities they were supporting and put them on the tables to encourage donations.
In an hour, they made £150 profit, which will be split evenly between the two charities.
