ENTRIES are coming in for ‘Wonderful Westbury’, the charity calendar being put together by the mayor, cllr Stephen Andrews.
He’s inviting local people to send in their pictures of ‘Wonderful Westbury’ to be included in the calendar.
There are three age groups – 11 years and under, 12-16 years and over 16 with three prizes in each age group.
“We’ve already had quite a few entries from the older age groups but not so many from the 11 year-olds and under,” said cclr Andrews. “If you’re a budding photographer and want to show off your talents, you’re never too young to get involved.
“The closing date is 30th September which hopefully means we will get a few photographs from the chimney demolition. The theme is ‘Wonderful Westbury and I am looking for photographs from people of all ages to grace each month.
“I am hoping that, as in the past, some amazing talent will emerge as people capture new vistas or put an original slant on familiar places in and around Westbury.
“The proceeds of the sale of these calendars will be going to my charities which this year are Carer Support, Wiltshire and Welfare of the Elderly (Westbury).
“Prizes will be a £20 voucher for each photo used in the calendar.”
Full details and entry forms can be found on the Westbury Town Council website.
