EDINGTON Priory Church will be hosting a ‘Voices from Syria’ talk by Reverend Andrew Ashdown this month.
Reverend Andrew Ashdown has extensive knowledge of the Middle East and has travelled to and loved Syria before the current troubles, but has also visited four times in the last two years at the height of the conflict.
He recently returned from visits to Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, during which he met with community and faith leaders from all denominations and with political leaders.
He will be talking at Edington Priory Church on Saturday 30th April, from 4pm to 6pm. Admission is free and there will be a charity collection for Embrace the Middle East.
The talk will explore the current situation in Syria and how Christians still living there are coping with the physical and mental pressures they face in their everyday lives.
