WESTBURY Town Council has thanked volunteers who helped in the community litter pick on Saturday 16th February.
Deputy mayor, Mike Sutton said, “The litter pick was well supported by both councillors and members of the community, with 23 volunteers.
“We met at Leigh Park at 10am outside Tesco Express and collected 31 bags of rubbish in 90 minutes.
“We would like to thank all those who gave up their time and worked so hard to make Westbury free from litter and a more pleasant place to live.
“We are also grateful to Tesco for allowing use of their waste disposal facilities and for supporting the council and community.”
