THE Boxing Day dog walk returns for the fourth year running, getting people active and walking, after indulging in Christmas food!
Organised by The Horse and Groom in Westbury, Bob and Carol invite you and the whole family along to take part in this fancy dress fundraising event!
The walk takes to the countryside from the pub in Alfred Street to Bratton and back, before enjoying a buffet lunch. With prizes for the best fancy dressed individual, family, child and even dog, it really is a great day for the family.
The day begins at 10.30am, where you will be treated to a morning mulled wine before the walk sets off at 11am. There will be a refuel half-way at The Duke in Bratton.
Transport can be arranged for those who only want to walk one way, so you can either get a lift to the Duke and walk back, or walk to the Duke and get a lift back.
The buffet is £15 for adults, £7 for under 10s, with booking essential.
Live music will also entertain the walkers. STAMP, the pub’s resident blues band will be playing in the bar all afternoon until 6pm.
If you would like to do the walk without brunch, then it will be a £3 donation to the pub’s chosen charity.
